Order taking systems for distributors

Raze Drops builds order taking systems for wholesale distributors, so a repeat order arriving as a message, a photo or a phone note is read, priced against the right customer terms and written into your stock and invoicing without anybody retyping it.

Wholesale orders arrive in whatever form the customer prefers: a message, a photograph of a handwritten list, a phone call at six in the morning. Somebody in your office then types all of it into a system twice. This page describes the order taking system we build for that, and what it costs.

What does a distributor lose to manual order entry?

Two people spend most of their day as a translation layer between customer messages and your stock system, and they are the only ones who know the shorthand.

That is also where the errors live. A wrong code or a stale price becomes a credit note, a delivery back on the lorry and an awkward call, and none of it was the customer’s mistake.

What does the order taking system actually do?

It reads the order however it arrived, matches each line to your product codes, applies that customer’s price list and terms, and confirms anything ambiguous before the order is committed.

The confirmed order goes into stock, picking and invoicing directly, and the customer gets a written confirmation with quantities and prices. Reading the messy input is a custom AI agent; writing it into your existing systems is an integration build.

What does an order taking build cost and how long is it?

Pricing is per project, from $300 to $9,000 depending on the catalogue, the customer terms and how many systems the order has to reach, plus a monthly maintenance retainer.

The proposal and the price are agreed before any deal is signed, so the scope is fixed and so is the date. Distributors usually read procurement for manufacturers and shipment tracking for logistics companies next.
